2024/11/6 16:36:58 COMROM: BROWSE:
The definition of reverse logistics: we usually say that logistics refers to "forward logistics", but a complete supply chain should not only handshake "forward" logistics, but also should include reverse logistics.
Carter and Ellram broadly define reverse logistics as the process by which companies can effectively achieve environmental protection through recycling, reuse, and reduction of the use of raw materials. At the same time, reverse logistics should also include reducing the amount of materials used in forward logistics, the purpose of which is to reduce the amount of data recovered and make the product reusable and more convenient for recycling.
According to Carter and Ellram, reverse logistics is narrowly defined as the process of recycling the sold products through the distribution network system, return logistics.
The American Logistics Management Association narrowly defines logistics as: the process of planning, implementing and controlling raw materials, semi-finished goods inventory, finished goods and related information from the point of consumption to the starting point efficiently and cost-effectively, so as to achieve the purpose of recovery value and appropriate disposal.
